Which operating system is efficient in terms of ram?

i mean which os uses much less ram , fast and least virus prone..?

Most Linux operating systems are pretty good, though if you're going for serious efficiency, then I suggest a lightweight OS like Lubuntu or Puppy. Alternatively, if you're really good with Linux, try Arch Linux. It basically lets you configure everything about your OS from scratch, but you should ideally have advanced knowledge of Linux before you try it.

I think a lightweight Linux distro is the option you're looking for. For example, Xubuntu is a good one. There are others such as Puppy Linux and Lubuntu.
