Web development advancements

Question

I have finished doing the web development course and am unsure on how to continue. Have I learnt all the basics with course and now I only need to practice and experiment? I will do the separate courses like html and css but I’m just curious

You've been exposed to the basics and the way they work and how you should think about them. Now, you can start playing around with your knowledge, check out the other courses and start some of your own projects.

Thank you. My next is, is there advance knowledge or its just basics manipulated and used in different ways like how functions can be used for different things? That is the crux of my question really

I guess the advanced knowledge is basically an expert command of what you said as the second part. Knowing APIs and how to call them, use them properly... similar with CSS and HTML really. There are lots of things still to learn and then to use. The fun never ends!
Here's an idea for a project to test yourself out:
Create a digital clock, where the time displays in a graphic way (and updates every second) and the user can choose a country and the clock will update to display that local time.
Bonus points if your location choice includes the city and uses a map.
