How would I set Android sdk in intelliJ idea?

I have tried doing that through configuration but it says the selected path isn't a valid home for Android sdk

I have slow internet so I can't download almost 1.5gb big app,

The new SDK introduced several changes to the build process. Afaik Eclipse is not supported anymore: that may be the case for other IDE as well.

On the end Android Studio should be what you're trying to achieve as it is based on intelliJ idea
