Which programming is gaining popularity and which one is dying?

Yesterday, Burey commented some links which was about the future of Javascript, and you won't believe, but Javascript is used in 97% of the websites existed today. Even Facebook is not open without enabling Javascript in browser. From yesterday, I decided to make my future in Javascript, and not in Python.

Popularity on search, according to Google Trends (2004-Today): - Most Popular for now: C++ - Decreasing: Java (was once the most popular and holds the record), PHP, SQL - Stable (mature): Javascript, HTML, CSS, JQuery, C# - Increasing: Python - Less popular (maybe too young): Ruby on Rails, Swift, Golang, Node.js See (some) results illustrated: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ocwu310jlcjgi47/programminglang.png?dl=1

according to me Python and JavaScript is gaining popularity. Because increase in popularity in machine learning and Ai makes Python popular. and JavaScript is gaining popularity because it is using in various places and increasing the applications other than for what it is made for.

I see many people here comparing front-end Javascript (they are not talking about node.js 'cause "Javascript is used in 97% of the web-sites" is not about back-end JS of course!) and back-end Python for example. Why not to compare SQL (query language) and HTML (markup language)? :-) Or BASH and... Swedish. :-) (Should I use HTML instead of R if it's more "popular"?)

Well this year....2017, --Java still hold the top position as you have to program android app with Java and J2EE still useful in Web developing. -- Second , javascript is so hopeful because of Node.js, React Native and electron technology, it can develop on every platform, thus it is replacing the java. -- others like Ruby on Rails, PHP, C++ , Python are well worth for learing cause they are intended for their own purposes.
