There are so many Programming languages in the world...and they all have funny names..😇😇like python(name of a snake)ruby(a type of stone) etc...share ur knowledge behind the name of programming languages

that's why it doesn't make sense lots of times, @Xander haha. The guys didn't have a good name for the laguage, but looking through a window they saw an oak tree, that's where they got the name from..

C++, The "++" was because there was this attribution on C already, meaning to add plus 1 to itself.

following the logic, C# would be:

C ++
++

and following this logic too, these four "+" signs on this way, looks like a "#".

Lua. Well, i know it's a Brazillian language, and for us the word "lua" means "moon"

Also, Java used to be called "Oak".
