You are comparing two ultimate Operating Systems. You cannot get an answer for any side in particular.

its like comparing a hammer and a screwdriver. ... Or a sports car and a truck. The best tool is the one that's right for the task. or the one you are most comfortable with. [edit] 🔹🔧🍮🚘🚚

It depends of your usage. I don't have preferences between Windows and Linux. I prefer use Linux for coding, compilation... I prefer use Windows for games and other things (like Odin for Samsung Phones). Anyway, I have a little preference for Linux because it's open source, free and debloated.

Since I quit windows I couldn't find any reason to go back to it. With the upgrade to windows 10 I lost functionality of my sd card drive and I got it back working after I swirtched to Ubuntu (even though I prefere Mint that I have on another machine). There is a learning curve with linux but it gives you the key to a world that is totally different from the one you know. The only thing linux sux at, are games: games are developed for windows.

Here is the answer from Microsoft that after 15 years of battling its "cancer" (as Steve Ballmer defined Linux), joined the Linux foundation. https://www.linuxfoundation.org/announcements/microsoft-fortifies-commitment-to-open-source-becomes-linux-foundation-platinum

I personally like Linux way better, but windows has better app support. (Not that I need it, but a lot of people use apps that only work on windows, like adobe and most games.
