Best way to memorize Ruby information?

Question

Learning by memorizing functions and using images to connect them to task. I think visualizing code helps too... I was fighting the learning process but you have to be all in or not. Of course practice is good too!

Most people would be telling you to just practice coding in Ruby. I won't do otherwise. Memorizing comes naturally when said information is put to use.
