Raspberry pi, should I buy it for learning programming ?

well I have looked up on the net and I found out that raspberry pi is a good way of learning programming or Linux. As I am a begginer I don't have any previous knowledge of programming. I have just started coding a few weeks ago. so please let me know should I buy it or not !

Go for the PI zero: At about 25 usd (including adapters: hdmi+otg usb+case) you have a good starting point. There are many resources available thought for beginners. on the raspberry pi web site there are tutorials that go from scratch to python. I think it's worth buying and using it. You'll soon find a placement around for it as a fixed project around your house: monitoring system, mediacenter, rc cars/boats/copters, workshop tool augmentations, security systems, power management and more.

You won't need a Pi to learn programming, I've got one but do not use it. Just learn and try little Programs. When you've learned the basics, you can buy one, before that there's no use for it.
