Because you were linking to the page that contained the image in a carousel instead of the direct link to the image itself. Click on your original link above then click on the details button. This will open a page with just the image and info. Now bring up the context menu via right click or long press on the image, depending on your device and browser, and select copy image link or copy link address or something similar.
