I find it hard learning coding through text. Infact i eventually forget what i learnt. What should i do?

obvious answer: exercises, code your own programs. here you can try the playground and even ask questions where you have linked your code. You need to code to learn coding. Only reading text is not enough, neither for starters nor for advanced programmers who learn their fifth, sixth, ... programming language.

as Volker said you can't memorize all the code you have to practice. some people say programmers should be taught to cheat i.e to copy and understand code. try building small projects and most importantly don't feel holy about looking at the sample code again. :) all the best, sweet coding.

What I do is learn via one medium and supplement with another. For example I am learning through text and I supplement what I learned through free video classes. That way it reinforces all the concepts. Reading, video classes and writing programs is what has helped me the most.
