I am in trouble, css declare for body is working, but css declare for <div id="logo"></div>; not executing

Question

code is like this...

body{some CSS code}
#logo{
background-color:black;
width:80px;
height:80px;
}
</style>

body CSS executing but not of div logo

you didn't specify div container style. as I can see the second style we declare is for element that have "logo" as id

I didn't understand what u wanna say, but a same declaration I did in my previous created page worked,........ but in this case It doesn't working....

there are some properties in CSS are default inherited like colour and background colour. so maybe they work for you and don't forget that the web browser that you are using also apply it specific styles to the elements if you didn't specified style explicitly.

but in one of my page , the same style worked, but now its not, is there any new changes are made in CSS styling of browser...
