First teach yourself computer science at www.teachyourselfcs.com it will help you a lot on what language to choose, second you must understand that programming is only 5% of the job and 95% is analyzing the problem and coming with a solution and third there is no super duper mega ultra hyper language that you can do anything at the best way possible , programming languages are like tools can you build a house only with a hammer or only with a shovel? No you can't , so you need different tools for different jobs to finish the house the same with programming languages. I would suggest to choose python is an easy language to start and understand the programming principles and has many modules and frameworks.

So many people have asked similar or the same questions. Please search before asking. But, regardless, I will answer your question. It depends. What do you want to do? Make websites? Server side code? Code applications for phones or other devices? OS's? If you be a little more detailed in your question I can answer better. If you find yourself saying, "I don't know," then just think what made you want to code or become interested in coding. Maybe you wanted to learn how phones run apllications, for example. Or maybe you wanted to program games.
