What types of games are you making? realistic 3d? -unreal. Mobile or 2d? unity. I primarily use unity as I feel more free in unity but unreal absolutely dominates in realistic graphics.
It is also a choice of opinion. You should probably try both but the above is the situations I feel is best.

To be perfectly honest, you can't go wrong with either engine. Both of them are amazing in their own respective right, and both have very bright futures.
However, you said that you're focused in C#, so I would go with Unity because that's what they use for their scripting language. With that being said, the Unreal blueprint system is really easy to deal with, so not much of a burden to learn Unreal. I've dealt mostly with Unity, so don't quote me on this, but I think C++ is the basis with Unreal.
@Jordan: Unity does perfectly fine with 3D, and isn't isolated to mobile/2D. However, when you compare it to the latest version of Unreal, yea... lol Nothing dominates it in realistic graphics at the moment. I think I heard something about a new Source engine coming out relatively soon; can't wait for that.

@netkos Sorry, I should have made it clear that these were only what I think they are best with. Either engine can definitely do either types of games. And about the new source engine, I'm very interested. I'll have to do some research...

I say Unity, hands down.

@Jordan It's no worries bro. I agree with you in regards to the 3D difference between Unity and Unreal. I just wanted to make sure the original poster was aware that Unity isn't isolated to just mobile/2D, and is aware that Unity is quite capable of 3D, even if to a lesser extent than Unreal.
