Dr. Java, NetBeans, Eclipse, and so on and so forth are all strong in some aspects.

Depend on your prefs. I started netbeans then intellij and thouht its best because it is really smart. But these days I am back at netbeand and use Intellij only for super fast code writing. From my point of view both are pretty strong.
