About Books and resources

Guys. How it is possible that some user share copyrighted books on sololearn free of cost. Do they have author permission or is the book an open source.. Please clear my confusion

Some publishing houses do their marketing this way. For example, packtpub.com (which I update information about on a daily basis) shares one full e-publication per day. The only condition is to refister for free on their website. However, the daily e-book is random and if you really want a certain publication for free, you might have to wait a while... ;) https://www.sololearn.com/discuss/444755/?ref=app https://www.sololearn.com/discuss/447092/?ref=app https://www.sololearn.com/discuss/476426/?ref=app https://www.sololearn.com/discuss/478620/?ref=app https://www.sololearn.com/discuss/517058/?ref=app

Then give a clear cut example :) Do you have a particular user or Q&A thread in mind?

@Divided Attention 1. does the copyright of the book permit distribution ? 2. from which resource did you get the book? 3. do you have the permission of the original author for publishing in your website ? 4. giving credits to author is not useful, if it's an copyright protected item and you publishing without their explicit permission a strict no! 5. check the copyright and seek permission if it's copyright is still active { copyrights can expire }
