Which is better java or .net?

Question

My .net teacher told me leraning C#, ASP.net and SQL would be enough to build a web application. But building a webapp with java technology requires you to learn a lot of stuff. Is she exaggerating java?

Regardless of choice picked, you have stuff you need to learn. It's hardly worth trying to compare or focus on that. Pick which one will compliment what you're wanting to do, and just learn it. Honestly, I recommend learning all of the above, so as they say, fuck the debate? :D I personally prefer C# over Java, but that's like me comparing a hamburger to a pizza, they're both great.
