in Linux OS we have inodes they just contain the adresses of your files [stack memory](in linux everything is a file) and files are stored in HDD [you can say heap memory]

@Prudhvi pointer are like a variable store address of other variable, Like say where they stored in memory.

Language like c, c++ which doesn't support dynamic memory allocation automatically, Needs a pointer and you manually do dynamic allocation.

In dynamic allocation your program allocate only the memory need for the program and save memory. Unlike static memory allocation, dynamic memory allocation is done on runtime, Through pointer u can allocate and deallocate memory.
