After html

Question

i am attempting to see if a new career is for me after being a chef for ten yearsI want to either work as a web developer or software developer/ engineer. I just completed the html course and I understand it, but I am looking for some advice on what course to take next, and what i can do to continue learning while also being ablento practice with the courses and coding languages I have and will learn.

also some general advice won't be turned down!

after html, what is most recommend is to have an understanding of css especially if you're going to be a web developer. afterwards you can try js and any backend that suits your purpose, there's also helpful posts i believe for said backend languages if you have any questions.

Front end web developers use html css and javascript, so if I was you I'd look at the latter 2. Depending on what tools you want to use you could use php or ruby or c# or java, it's up to you.
