what language(s) are used to make an IDE?

im curious, because i would love to learn how to make one.

Thank you, but is there a language that has to be used to make a ide. ex: eclipse, notepad++

there is no special language programing for create a IDE ;you can use c++ ,java,c# and.... to create a form for own app ,ide just a interface and for compile code you must use a compiler
