Do u need to be good at math to be a good programmer

I'm decent at math but lol I'm not like amazing at it. I was wondering can I just memorize algorithms like "bubble sort" to get me by.

Basic maths is good enough, you need to think more logically than anything. When you become comfortable with coding, you'll start getting comfortable with math too. Coding works that way, it just somehow motivates you to get into math as well.

Math is your tool, your Swiss knife. If you know how to apply it and when or when not to apply it, "the force is with you." Like I said before it is a tool (nope, the tool). That said, there are many ways to kill a cat. You can beat it down with a feather, bore it to death (😂), or whatever but face it, we know this not practical. So what am I saying? Math is the language of Science, and just like any other language, if you're fluent in it, it is able to achieve great results, Computer Science included. Aside from many other things, being a good mathematician will not only earn you geek points and score you chicks (😉), it will also make you a badass programmer ^^

As with any large field, it depends on what you plan on doing. 3D graphics programming for example, you'd benefit greatly if you are good with math. Other fields only require basic math, but algorithms are always very important.
