How can I learn more than basics?

I've found that using Sololearn has drastically helped me learn Javascript and C++ but I feel like the content offered in the courses is not enough to really push me over the edge where everything clicks in my brain. What do you recommend to further my learning process? I feel like I've learned a lot especially in C++ But the attached code is still the furthest I've gotten. https://code.sololearn.com/cASS6Il8708Q/?ref=app

I would say you have to read books/websites, watch YT videos or try to create some programs on your own. A step further would be a GUI created with MFC classes or try to use QT to create a simple calculator first and then go on to create a plotter or even a CAS calculator. If you are more the creative guy you can look for some gaming stuff, where c++ is very usefull. If you are a technical/communication guy try to create a paket reader or something similar. :)

Books always work well for me. In particular I would recommend The C Programming Language by Brian W. Kernighan and Dennis M. Ritchie. It's an excellent book on the C programming language written by the inventor of the language himself. Even if C is not your language of choice, it's still a great book to enhance your logical thinking and change the way you think about your programs.
