Are you perhaps using Arduino or RaspberryPi? If so I'd just point you to demos at their sites.

If I recall correctly, stepper motors respond to pulsed DC so you have to send an appropriate signal, but there are so many hardware configurations you could use (serial ports, USB, breadboards, ...) that I'm trying to narrow down the host system.

Yes earlier i had used arduino in a group project... But i m totally new in raspi
