misunderstanding i think. Yash is saying no language is better than any other. Each has a place and task that it is designed to fulfill.
As best for learning, that again is subjective to each individual in my opinion. For some c/c++ maybe well suited for their first language. Others it may not be.

Java should be pretty easy now if you know c++ pretty well. see 'should'

This questions answer is subjective. There is not BEST language. There are languages that are widely used in their respective field, but that does not mean they will be the best for you.
However, if you want my personal recommendation try Java.
