@Michelle . Preparing for the future is what make you better at doing things. Although no one can avoid bad decisions or mistakes. But everything can be fixed of your worried about a wrong decision

Either a gameplay programmer or an engine programmer. I'm pretty locked and confident on those two

@recon, I've already started in engine programming and it's alot of fun. I'm confident in my gameplay programming capabilities and I have 3 years before I even go to college to get ahead in engine programming. Then in college I plan on getting a cs degree. I think I'll be able to handle it.

Javascript is used for front end web development. You can start developing with it without any installation coz It work with the browser itself.and it's really super powerful and popular language

well if you want something new as a programmer, just make sure u learn algorithm analysis and design, and also data structures. it has innumerable real world applications and guarantees that u atleast never get bored. also, u may learn pure mathematics which is the closest link between computer science and maths. plus, as a computer science student, u may even go for research in many areas like AI, machine learning, even mechanics and robotics which are from our perspective, simply a combination of physics, maths psychology and computer science. to sum up, just have a discoverer mindset, and u will definitely find your interest. this applies to any and all areas of systematic study.
