What is your first language that you've learned? And could you possibly say why you chose that?!

Batch. I had already used CMD and requested no additional software.

Before choosing what programming language I wanted to learn I first brainstormed what technologies /platforms I wanted to work with and develop for. After doing some digging and reading I chose Android. Having an android phone and finding the amount of information available (such as on developers.google.com and udacity.com), it was clear to me that as a novice I would find what I needed to learn fairly easy. The main programming language for developing Android apps was Java. So I bought a book, started watching the videos on udacity, and although simple but interactive, within 3 months I had 5+ mobile apps from keeping count of points for a basketball ball game to ordering a cup of coffee. So I would suggest to first figure out what you want to build (wearable apps, car apps, web apps, web sites etc.) then see what programming language is best suited for it. Programming languages are like tools in a tool box, although your steel wrench could drive a nail through a piece of wood, you would be better off using a hammer.
