Which is your favorite text editor?
I want to know which is your favorite text editor? I want to get used to a text editor that will be useful for most of my projects. That includes (but not limits to) web, android studio and unity. If it compiles/interprets or gives a preview as you type will be a plus, but is not fundamental. It has to be free or with a very complete "student" version. I currently use Atom -------------------------------- New: Read additional information below about why not sublime text

Sublime is not free. I know it can be used even if you don't pay for it, but I prefer to use a free one instead. I consider it's not right to use cracked versions or to bypass the payment because it's like stealing. I know not everyone will agree, but it's my personal point of view. I know sublime is the best paid text editor. I want to know which is the best free.
