C# and Visual Studio

I m going to pick visual programming in this semester,And i saw previous batch's outline, Professor wrap up fundamental C# concepts(data types,loops, Methods etc) in just two lectures on the base of C++.Now i m recalling my memory from here,
Q:Is it worth to study C# concepts from here for Visual programming,
