Can I post questions about stuff that isn't mentioned in this app?

I'm currently following a Java Game Programming tutorial, and got stuck at this bit. I don't know what my problem is so I'm wondering if anyone could help me? I haven't found anything that really helps on google.

I'm following Indie Programmer's Java Game Programming tutorial and I am stuck as I get "invalid operation (1282)". I know what it means but I can't find where I went wrong as I followed exactly as he did.
