C++ programs can be done in??

I have completed my c++ on turbo c...but in this I can see these programs are done in some thing different

I've also learned c++ using turboc, but it supports older version of c++. You can learn new version here and you can use codeblocks, dev etc for practicing.

Well.what is the exact difference between ide and a. compiler@luka.
This question has hit me many times and I have tried looking up in the net but with all vague answers.Since the topic was brought up.
