Postfix and Prefix Operator !

Question

Can anyone explain about it in open. Now, I have understood all the concepts. But, increment and decrement operators
++var_name or var_name++
and var_name-- or --var_name

..... ...... are difficult to understand. pLZzz anyone explain it.

++a, will increment before , then save, and then return the value of a.
a++, will return original a, then increment, and then save.
