Coding a simple ai..

Question

Any advice on which language and platform I should use? I'd start out with a terminal type interaction and later integrate voice recognition. Just need a nudge in the right direction, so I know which questions I need to be asking.. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Lol I searched ai, not artificial intelligence. Kinda makes a big difference..
