đI wanna pursue a PhD course in the field of organic chemistry...đ how would my interest in codes help? đź
how would programming/Coding/developing databases help me to progress in my field or prove to be an advantage? <!-- PS: any advice is welcome from chemists at SL as well đ -->

Organic chemistry has lot of applications in daily life like drug development , diagnosis , petrochemicals , polymers etc. In future technology is gonna dominate n all fields and testing application everything is gonna to be virtual. So If ur good n Algorithms n databases it will surely help you. For example you can creat an Algorithm to test research observations from a huge chemical Db.

You can create a database for storing your research daily logs, the progress, the failure, the cause of failure etc. At the very least you'd be using less paper for logs, go green mate :)

I'm not a chemist, but I assume that a lot of data and math is involved in all of it, which computers/programs are great at dealing with data and math. I can't give you a chemist example since I'm not a chemist, but programming is useful to most sciences.

Hey! If you want to dirt your hand with codes staying in organic chemistry, you can. There is new project on AI. Drug discovery in artificial intelligence.
