In what ways opponent and questions are choose in challenge?

I have match up with lots of high levels(in random) and also given questions that doesn't seem to fit my level(my opinion). So how does it choose our opponents and questions.
1. Does level have anything to do with?
2. Does our win, lose or draw affects the question and opponents chosen(in random)?
3. Or does it choose opponents and questions in pure randomness?

1. Please take note that level isn't the only factor as it was contributed by the sum of all weapons (languages) XP.

2 and 3. The opponents shown are likely played a few challenges before this and pressing random will select one from the list. Random play a role in this case and you may get new questions by facing experienced players.

All in all, don't be afraid of losing and take it as an opportunity to uncover hidden gems in your preferred language as the knowledge you acquired belongs to you, not others. 😉
