Ultimate goal is to become a data scientist. What's the recommended path?

I am new at coding and I started learning python a couple of weeks ago, I realised that learning to code isn't extremely hard, but it is something that requires a lot of practice and patience.
however, my long term goal is to become a data scientist. the question is what other programming languages and modules should I be learning?
also what sort of accreditation would I need?
