What are the prerequisites to start Machine Learning ?

I hope most of us want to start machine learning because the future is machine learning i want to know the pre requisites so i can start . Is the python knowledge necesaary ?

pre requisite is to be interested in it. then you start reading about it and want to try things, you will realise what tools and knowledge will help you.. python is probably a good one :-)
