Is android became old fashioned and web applications are rising?

I've heard that android is becoming outdated and we can build android application by using web development tools. Is that right? If you have knowledge then please share.

I would say NO. Java used to be the primary choice to develop native Android app but recently Kotlin was added as the first class language as well.

From what you've heard, yes web technologies can be used to develop hybrid Android app as well but with performance trade-off and utilize the device's web engine to render the UI.

Besides that we can even use C# or Python to develop Android app without picking up Java/Kotlin. This doesn't mean Java/Kotlin is useless but open up possibilities for other programmers as well. 😉
