How different are certain versions?

like is version 3.1 works different then version 3.2? Or does it just work better in some way.

if the second number (the part behind the point) changes, the version is still backwards-compatible with other versions with the same first number. if the first number changes, it means that the new version is not backwards-compatible with the old one. for more details on the changes with each release, check www.python.org
