Who amongst us thinks the Solo Learn Coding Challenge is far from helping beginner developers?
First the coding challenge presents a question you should answer in seconds or loose. I think the timing should be extended or made flexible for varying levels in the coding challenge. That way beginners can get a fair attempt from the start and progress to tougher challenges. Share your opinion.

To add to my opinion I really think the coding challenge should be brought to the web really fast.
The idea is not to give people fish to eat but teach them how to fish. Don't just give them challenges to win, teach them how to challenge themselves by learning from the challenge.

I think some challenges have code that is too twisted and complex to be answered in the given time. They don't promote good coding style or practice and you basically just have to remember the answer for the next time you hit that same question.
For some, the ambiguity can be part of the challenge but its annoying to get this kind of gibberish and not figure it out even if you're an expert in the language.

In addition to the time limits feeling rushed, what really irks me about the challenges is when the questions include things from other programming languages. For example, I chose HTML Challenges and I swear there were questions about JavaScript which I am just beginning to understand. Shouldn't JavaScript questions be part of the JavaScript Challenges instead? Perhaps there should be a separate section of combined challenges. They could call one Front End Challenges and include HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

I haven't come across a mixed question. That being said I think the timing is one everybody should agree on. No one writes an examination that fast.

You can have a look at the correct answers once the challenge is done (when both persons have answered every question or one gave up..)
