upvoting own questions and answers

Why is it possible to upvote and downvote own question or answer (i only tried it from the mobile app)? Is it a bug or intention?

Your best bet to get an answer to this is ask the source. Use the feedback option on triple dot menu or email [e-mail]. It doesn't make sense to me either.

Agree with you. It is strange that it is possible.

From a developer point I do understand it, because it just an extra check that has to be added.

On the other hand, attributing himself the good answer mark is a shame, because it break the first purpose to put the best answer on top of list of posts (because votes have failed to do this classifcation), and even not give xp if you it for yourself (and that a good thing ^^)...

I could understand that seems weird, but in reality, that doesn't have any importance, as up/dowvoting system of sololearn is so missused that it doesn't have any sense, and personal upvoting doesn't have real effect ^^
