What are the first steps for someone who wanna learn programming from beginning ?

Whatever program language i started to learn it asked me do i know HTML and CSS.. So is that the first steps for beginners, to learn HTML and CSS.. Ofcourse for web developing..

Web Development languages are as follows: HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS (PHP and SQL for further functionality); and game/software development languages are as follows: C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Java is the language used mostly for Android development.

Sidenote: never try and learn more than 2 languages at once, until you are considered a professional.
