Which languages to start with?

total novice here, I've never learned any programming before. what would be a fundamental language for me to learn?

Well, it really depends on what you want to do. If you're into web development then I recommend you start with HTML, CSS and Javascript. If you want to go with programs then I suggest Python. It's a great starter for learning programming logic, after you learn to think as a programmer the rest is pure playing.
