@David, if what you refer to was the problem you mentioned on post #15 then you need to check for invalid characters in the code, it is a very common case for code that was copied from web to accidentally "carry' some invalid characters, these characters look like space, but they really are not.

When you paste it in Code Playground and run the code, PHP engine sees those invalid characters, and refuse to process the code further, until you have them removed. If your text editor supports multiple character encoding you can test it by switching between UTF-8 and ANSI encoding, they will show up.
