It depends on many things. You better provide us with some conditions or a technical task.

A “one size fits all” outfit never fits as well as a custom tailored suit. In this case, Wordpress is the “one size fits all” solution. You can customize it a lot, but to be able to do so to the extent of designing the site exactly as desired isn’t possible, but you can get close with child themes, which must still be coded. You can technically make websites without any coding knowledge, but if you choose to, I’d recommend finding an amazing host that will help you when you run into trouble...because you will. Just keep in mind code bloat that accompanies using a pre-made site versus coding only the features you actually need.

It will depend on what you want to accomplish and what direction you want to go with your skills. If u are planning on doing coding, web dev or design.... atleast 30% of small businesses are using Wordpress now. For marketability, the more skills you have the better. In my own example, I am working on learning the skills needed to build frontend and backend websites from scratch for full stack development. However I also plan to focus and specialize in wordpress developement. I want to be flexible and versitile in what I can offer clientele. I have been told, no matter what you choose to do in the tech industry, design or code.... absolutely learn the fundamentals and build a strong foundation first! Hope that helps.
