What languages do i need to learn to get into audio plugin development...?

I am a begineer level programmer but have immense passion for PROGRAMMING and implementing programming in music.So far the best options for me would be to dive into the world of audio plugin development..But where should i start...(I have good understanding of various musical terms) but just need the programming counterpart...
