What are the effects of learning many programming languages at a go?

I have seen many sololearners taking on multiple languages at a go. say c++, java, python, c#, web languages. all at a go. is this really a good way to learn programming or are learners simply competing for who has the higher XPs? this thing is really bogging me. would someone enlighten me on if this is good or bad. I will appreciate every answer.

It really depends on how someone learns. However, if you are REALLY intent on learning a programming language, then the way to go is by focusing on learning that specific language and don’t take up any new ones (and don’t neglect the ones you already know!) until you have a good idea of the language, how it works, and how to use it. As for those who learn multiple courses, everyone has their own reasons. Some people on here want to achieve their learner stats (which reaches 100% when all courses have been completed), some just want to complete the courses for the XP, and others just want to get it done. For me, when I do multiple courses at once, I am doing it to be familiar with the language to the point where I can recognize and assist people with basic things in the language they’re having trouble with. I also do it so if the time comes when I have to code in that language for some reason, I can create a simple code to solve the problem or a more complex one (with help of the internet) if necessary. But that’s just my approach on the subject.
