Practice programs

Hello all,
I am in school to learn IT but I am tired of waiting to learn code, so I have started on my own. I picked Ruby as a first language and am learning a lot, and enjoying it more than school. My question is where can I find some tasks to practice on? I have read suggestions to code every day, to practice, practice, practice, but I have no idea what to work on with all the new tools I am learning about.

As for where to work on, just do it on the Sololearn Code Playground for starters. As for what to code, look online for ideas and choose the one you like.
