Please suggest useful source to know about standard templete library in depts and complete coverage of this module .

Question

I code using Java and use it as weapon for solving my problems . I started with fortran then c and never touched the c++ now m trying to have a grip on c++ .without proper and Dept knowledge on STL it's very tough to solve problems in competitive coding . It would be great of you all awesome coders to share the valuable source to know STL in Dept with proper use .

"The C++ Programming Language" by Bjarne Stroustrup, the inventor of C++:
Basically everything is covered. It's the most detailed you must get, kind of the bible of C++.

It does. But i.e. it doesn't explain you what a loop is, it supposes you already know that. I believe it's optimal for you.

thank you very much ... yes I do have good grip on basic operations of programming ,data structures and standard algorithms related with it, and little knowledge on operating systems .
