Encoding of Swedish letters åäö/ÅÄÖ
Letters å and Å are encoded as å and Å respectively. I can easily remember this by thinking: "Letter a/A with a 'ring' on top of it", which obviously is the intention of using å/Å, or? :-) How about ä/ö (ä/ö) and Ä/Ö (Ä/Ö)? Is there a logical reason why 'uml' is used? Thanks!

uml stands for "umlaut" which is the name for the two dots mark on top of a vowel. Used in German also.
