How do you get ideas?

I’m learning machine learning and game programming (separately.) I keep trying to get ideas or inspiration for either, but I’m not creative enough. How do you get ideas and inspiration? Can anyone give me some ideas?

Seems logical to me that you should combine both your skills and make a *game* with a really good *AI* algorithm ;)

You may have programming talent, but you may not be creative. Life is tough.

You shouldn't look for ideas because you want to write a game, you should want to write a game _because_ you have ideas.

Don't force it, you may end up rich and happy from a good job working as a programmer. Just enjoy life.
