Bootstrap html4 or html5

Question

Is Bootstrap supposed to be used in html4 or html5? The main tutorial on here states that bootstrap is designed to be used in html5, but the bootstrap tutorials that follow it use the <div> element. Isn't <div> only for html? I'm confused.

Bootstrap uses <nav> tag that came with html5. But you can change it to <div> tag if you want.
<div> tag is in all html versions.

Bootstrap Uses <nav> tag in HTML 5.But if you don't want to use <nav> tag, You can use <div> tag.
- <div> tag is common for all HTML'S.
